This is a photo of my youngest daughter Sophia  Grace Shanti, taken shortly after she was born [-- Thanks to my friend and obstetrician Manbee Granada, M.D. :-)].  Fresh from my womb, umbilical cord still attached. Not a pretty sight, is it? But this tiny baby, and any baby for that matter, is a picture of hope. For this came from someone called Woman, who has endured pain, so the world can celebrate and welcome a new life.

This blog is dedicated to all mothers, who know sacrifice as they know breathing. Cheers to mothers, probably the only people on earth who are capable of giving unconditional love, and bring forth the miracle of life.
